Dr. Steffen Lepa, *1978, Media and Communication Scholar, currently postdoc researcher and lecturer at Audio Communication Group, Technical University of Berlin. 2018-2019 guest professor for media and music at the Institute for Journalism and Communication Research at Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. Principal investigator of national funded research project “Survey Music and Media” (2012-2016). Head of research in 3.5mio EUR EU-Horizon project on AI in Music Branding. Cooperation projects with db audio, Livekomm, Berlin Clubcommission and others. Central research areas: Mediatization, digital media change, audio communication theory, social and psychological uses and effects of audio media technologies, social research methodology, popular culture, night life.
