Since October 1, 2020, Jürgen Korbinian Enninger as elected professional city councillor is responsible for the department for culture, world heritage and sports of the city of Augsburg. From 2014 to 2020, he previously headed the competence team for cultural and creative industries in the City of Munich, which combines cultural, economic, and municipal administration tasks in a matrix structure that is unique in Germany within the city administration. Enninger studied religious education and educational work at the University of Eichstätt as well as languages, economic and cultural studies at the University of Passau. He has professional experience in music publishing and music management and was managing director of the music label Enja Records as well as controller at the Bavarian State Opera. Stays abroad during his professional career led him to a media company in Hong Kong and to studies in the Netherlands and Canada. From 2004 to 2012, Enninger was a volunteer in the Association of Independent Music Companies (VUT), as spokesman for the label council of the southern regional group for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg and on the federal executive board. He was also active on the national board of the Jazz and World Partners association. From 2010 to 2014 he headed the regional office for Bavaria in the Federal Competence Center for Cultural and Creative Industries. From 2016 to 2020, Enninger was spokesman for the network of public funded institutions for creative industries in Germany and as well as member of the advisory board for education and discourses at the Goethe Institute. Since October 2020 he is member of the policy club of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology - Culture and Creativity.
