Zones of Responsibilities
The view with which we look at events and their framework conditions is subject to strong changes. A few decades ago, going out was an adventure playground for all those characters that the daylight world was glad to have banished to the night. No one thought about how much individual risk was involved. Today, one can get the impression that we are heading towards a fully comprehensive mentality of night owls and a mania for regulation on the part of the responsible authorities. How much safe space is possible with how few rules? How much personal responsibility of nightlife participants is meaningful and pleasurable? What practical examples of new ways to safer places exist and what do they tell us about the future of organized nightlife?
