Mathieu Grondin is a pioneer of nocturnal governance in Canada. In 2017, he founded MTL 24/24, a citizen-based organization aimed at supporting local nightlife through various initiatives including the Night Council, a citizen consultation table for night owls, and Montréal au Sommet de la nuit, a yearly international conference event on nightlife management. Since 2020, his organization has been a partner of the City of Montréal for the strategic development of Montreal's economy and nightlife culture.
