About
Gjalt-Jorn wrote his PhD. thesis on determinants of ecstasy-use related harm reduction strategies (https://doi.org/kxkg). Although his research focus shifted towards more theoretical and methodological work, he always remained fascinated by nightlife and nightlife-related risk behaviors. He managed the Party Panel (https://doi.org/kzch) and co-led a think tank on MDMA policy (https://mdmapolicy.com/results). Currently, he works on conceptual and technological tools for prevention (e.g. https://doi.org/jp9t and https://doi.org/js9b) and theory development (e.g. https://doi.org/jnjp), new qualitative methods (https://doi.org/hwzj), and open science (e.g. https://doi.org/kt87), resulting in way too many R packages (https://opens.science).
