Anna Blaich, M.A., studied Music Business at Popakademie Baden-Württemberg (Mannheim) and Cultural and Media Management at Hochschule für Musik und Theater (Hamburg). After different positions within the music business, she filled the position as the export manager with Initiative Musik and was responsible for the German representation at SXSW 2018 in Austin, Texas, and the German contribution for music export within the EU program “Music Moves Europe”. From 2018 to 2022, she worked as a project manager in Cultural Urban Development at NEXT Mannheim, where she developed projects in the field of cross innovation and supervised the utilization concept of the Multihalle Mannheim as project lead. Since May 2022, she has been working in the Department of Labor and Social Affairs of the City of Mannheim, where she is responsible for the coordination of voluntary work in open elderly care, following the special structures for refugees from Ukraine. Moreover, she has been deputy chairwoman of Bundesstiftung LiveKultur and a member of LiveKomm's working group Kulturraumschutz (protection of cultural space). In addition, she is a member of the Kulturpolitische Gesellschaft and lecturer at the DHBW Mannheim. Her doctoral thesis at the University of Paderborn deals with pop music in the field of tension between culture, economy and politics.
