About
Hanna Mauksch studied B.Sc. Geographical Sciences and M.Sc. Environmental Planning in Berlin. In her master's thesis (2018), she investigated the implementation potential of environmental protection measures within music clubs and from that on she has been working in the field of sustainable event management. For NABU (Nature And Biodiversity Conservation Union) she was responsible for events in the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Team. For BUND Berlin (Friends of the Earth) she acted as a project coordinator for climate protection in music clubs for the initiative Clubtopia (www.clubtopia.de), which devotes itself to sustainability and climate issues within the Berlin club scene. She was involved in the publication of the Code of Conduct "Zukunft Feiern!" (www.zukunft-feiern.de) for music clubs and is now working on that project on a federal level as a project manager. Additionally, Hanna works as a certified sustainability consultant for music festivals. In her work, it is important to her to advance real climate protection in a socially responsible way. The cultural sector must live up to its responsibility as a necessary driver of social transformation.
