Ruby Lawlor

Ruby is a drug policy reform and harm reduction activist, with a background in grassroots youth activism. She is a skilled and experienced strategic advocate, from grassroots to high level advocacy. She became involved in drug policy reform while studying for her undergraduate degree in International Development at University College Cork, Ireland in 2017. Ruby has worked with Students for Sensible Drug Policy, provided festival harm reduction through Chill Welfare in the UK, and while living in Uganda, she worked with the Human Rights Centre Uganda, and the Uganda Harm Reduction Network. Ruby has been involved in Youth RISE since 2020, as the International Communications and Advocacy Officer, and assumed the position of Executive Director in May 2022.
