Daniel Hülseweg lives and works as a freelance architect in Berlin. Since 2021, he has been substitute professor in the Department of Construction and Design at the Wismar University of Applied Sciences. This follows a teaching position at TU Braunschweig and as a teaching and research associate at the Technical University Berlin from 2015-2019 with Prof. Jacob van Rijs. His interest lies in sustainable and contextually appropriate transformation processes for public and educational buildings within a collective and critical spatial practice. Due to his main focus in developing participatory design strategies for hands-on community based projects on the interface between academia and non-academic, he has been involved in several design-build projects in the global south Currently he is supervising a student design project for the construction of a mobile community space in Ukraine.
